Sarathbala Balakrishnan read law at University of Liverpool. After obtaining his Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons with 2nd upper) in 2019.
Subsequently, he enrolled himself in the Barrister-at-law and LLM course at City, University of London in 2020. While waiting for his Call to the Bar of England and Wales, he got an opportunity to shadow Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) Solicitors at Willesden Magistrates Court, London, United Kingdom. He was lucky enough to observe and discuss case matters with other Crown Prosecutors and Barristers during trial.
Pursuant to his Call to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Lincolns Inn on 26th July 2022, he commenced his pupillage under the tutelage of M Manoharan, where he was given a wide range of exposure in criminal matter such as murder and drug trafficking.
Upon admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 24th November 2024, he was retained at M Manoharan & Co. to enhance his legal journey with his pupil master. He assisted M Manoharan in notable and high-profile cases such in the late DPP Kevin Morais murder case at the Appellant Court and PP vs Sheila Sharon from Magistrate Court up to Court of Appeal.
Even though, his interest lies on criminal related matters, he also acts in civil litigation matters involving bankruptcy, contract law, family law, employment law and dispute resolution.
