Another victory at Sessions Court in Petaling Jaya.
Our client, SIVACHANDRAN SEKARAN, was today awarded RM 100,000.00 with interest at the rate of 5% per annum from 15.4.2019 till date of realization and costs after a full trial. Our client’s dad, Sekaran Sinnappen, aged 60 (below), went missing on 23.4.2018 and was found dead floating in Sg.Kandis,Shah Alam on 25.4.2018. His insurance company, BERJAYA SOMPO INSURANCE BERHAD, denied liability when our client submitted his claim based on a personal accident policy taken out by his father. After having proved through witnesses and in particular the evidence of Dr. NARESH KUMAR that his death was as a result of accidental drowning, the Sessions Court in Petaling Jaya allowed our client’s claim of RM 100,000.00 with interest and costs.
